Business Development Manager

About the role

Howden Private Wealth, an independent insurance broker with over 40 years of experience serving private banks, family offices and law and tax advisory firms, is looking for a Business Development Manager in Kuala Lumpur. The role supports the Head of the Malaysia Office or the CEO in growing sales activity and business penetration.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Head of Malaysia Office or CEO in engaging key partners to increase sales activities and business penetration
• Plan and execute business development activities, including marketing event planning and management
• Assist in preparing and documenting business development proposals, presentations and reports
• Maintain organized records and documentation related to business development activities
• Respond to inquiries and requests for information promptly and professionally
• Collaborate with marketing so that messaging and promotional materials align with business development objectives
• Maintain and build long-term relationships with existing and new partners

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline
• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in business development, private banking or high-net-worth spaces; experience in wealth planning and insurance is a plus
• Strong team player with organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to manage projects well
