Service Sales Lead, MV/LV Solutions - Southern/Johor

About the role

ABB is hiring a Service Sales Lead for its Electrification Services Business in Malaysia, covering the Southern/Johor region. The role is hybrid and focuses on driving service sales, growing the installed base and securing profitable sales. It reports to the Marketing & Sales Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Penetrate existing ABB and competitor install bases, using the install base database and existing market network to generate service leads for upgrades, retrofits, maintenance and value-add solutions for MV and LV distribution systems.
• Build a customer base in the assigned geography, develop relationships and set a sales strategy to grow customer share of wallet.
• Provide feedback to stakeholders on the support needed to grow the business (product, marketing, pricing).
• Prepare a yearly commercial plan with clear actions to meet order targets, submit monthly sales forecasts and propose recovery plans when needed.
• Support the promotion of ABB's service products and solutions during campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences and customer meetings.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with knowledge of electrical power distribution systems.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in MV and LV switchgear and protection relays, gained through sales, service, project management or field service roles.
• Experience supporting customers in the data center and industry segments; oil & gas, utilities and manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Established network and customer relationships in the Southern Region of Malaysia, especially in industry and data center sectors.
• Able to work independently and travel extensively across the Southern Region (more than 50%); fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
