Branch Sales Manager - Kuching

About the role

Zurich Insurance Company is looking for a Branch Sales Manager for its Kuching branch. The role drives growth and profitability across all assigned products through risk selection, pricing, negotiation, sales, retention and quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily work processes of the designated territory to meet operational and strategic objectives.
• Analyze needs and recommend improvements to processes, customer service or products.
• Lead short-term projects with a defined scope (3 to 9 months).
• Build profitable relationships with new and existing customers and meet them regularly even when no specific initiative is underway.
• Assist customers with loss prevention meetings, claims issues and product training, and give technical advice to solve problems.
• Train customers and Strategic Business Unit personnel on products and services.
• Monitor market trends and recommend changes, and resolve technical issues within the function or unit.
• Prepare customer and distributor reports and evaluate business processes to find improvement opportunities.
• Research business development opportunities and review customer cases, prioritizing the workload and resolving issues within authority limits.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent and 1+ year of sales experience, OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an associate degree and no prior sales experience.
• Ability to be licensed to sell insurance in the states where required.
• Preferred: 2+ years of sales experience, insurance licensing, and experience analyzing financial statements.
