Branch Sales Manager - Kota Bharu / Kuala Terengganu

About the role

Zurich Insurance is looking for a Branch Sales Manager for its Kota Bharu / Kuala Terengganu branch. The role drives growth and profitability across all assigned products through risk selection, pricing, negotiation, sales, retention and quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily work processes of the designated territory to meet operational and strategic objectives
• Analyze needs and recommend improvements to processes, customer service or products
• Lead short-term projects with a defined scope (3 to 9 months)
• Build profitable relationships with new and existing customers
• Assist customers with loss prevention meetings, claims issues and product training
• Train customer and Strategic Business Unit staff on products and services, and give technical advice
• Meet customers regularly, anticipate their needs and monitor trends to recommend changes
• Resolve technical issues within the function or unit
• Prepare customer and distributor reports and assess business processes for improvement
• Research business development opportunities and review customer cases, prioritizing workload and applying policy within authority limits

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of experience in sales
• Knowledge of sales principles, techniques and terminology
• Knowledge of insurance industry regulatory requirements
• Preferred: 2+ years of sales experience, an insurance license and experience analyzing financial statements
