Senior Manager, AI Strategy & Enablement

About the role

AirAsia Aviation Management Services (AAAMS) is looking for a Senior Manager, AI Strategy & Enablement based in RedQ, Sepang, Selangor. The role leads the AI transformation agenda across the Commercial function, turning business problems into scalable AI-enabled solutions and embedding AI into daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prioritize and deliver high-impact AI initiatives that improve revenue performance, customer engagement, commercial productivity, forecasting accuracy and operational decision-making.
• Work with Commercial leadership teams such as Revenue Management, Pricing, Network Planning, Scheduling, Slot Management, Marketing, Sales, Distribution and Ancillary Revenue to find practical AI opportunities.
• Bridge Commercial and Technology, aligning solutions with enterprise architecture, AI governance, security standards and data strategy.
• Develop and implement AI use cases such as demand forecasting, dynamic pricing, route profitability analysis, scheduling and slot optimization, campaign personalization, customer segmentation, AI copilots and commercial intelligence.
• Collaborate with ICT, Product, Engineering, Data and external partners on scalable, secure and commercially viable AI solutions.
• Help Commercial leaders make faster, data-driven decisions through AI-powered insights, simulations, automation and recommendations.
• Promote AI literacy and adoption through awareness, capability building and change management.
• Modernize commercial operating models and reduce manual reporting dependency.
• Work with Legal, Risk, Compliance, Data Governance and ICT on data privacy, explainability, security, auditability and ethical AI.
• Lead and guide AI and transformation team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, Engineering, Economics, Information Systems, Aviation or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in AI, analytics, digital transformation, consulting, commercial strategy, product management or business technology transformation.
• Proven track record leading AI, automation, analytics or digital transformation initiatives with measurable results.
• Experience engaging and influencing senior business stakeholders; strong commercial acumen.
• Experience in airlines, aviation, travel, e-commerce, loyalty, digital platforms or consumer technology is an advantage.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of AI and machine learning, Generative AI, predictive analytics, recommendation systems, forecasting models, business intelligence tools, APIs, cloud-based AI platforms, prompt engineering and AI governance.
• Advantage: data visualization and analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, BigQuery.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, storytelling and change management.
