Accounts Executive

About the role

GloryGlobal, a publicly listed provider of customer experience automation software and hardware, is recruiting an Accounts Executive. The role covers finance operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, reporting and other finance activities within the finance department.

Key responsibilities

• Handle accounts receivable: customer setup, receipt processing, AR follow-up and billing coordination with other departments to raise invoices
• Administer test cash
• Support General Ledger and month-end close activities for Malaysia and the Philippines
• Produce monthly and quarterly reports and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare and submit tax reports (SST and corporate tax in Malaysia; VAT, EWT and corporate tax in the Philippines) in line with local tax regulations
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory financial regulations
• Assist with audits and prepare local statutory accounts for Malaysia and the Philippines, and liaise with auditors
• Support the Senior Accountant or Finance Manager with projects and tasks when needed

Required profile

• Diploma in accounting or a professional qualification such as ACCA
• At least 3 years of experience in a finance environment or a similar capacity
• Familiarity with IFRS and tax rules in Malaysia
• Experience in an MNC environment is an added advantage

Required skills

• Strong computer literacy, especially MS Office, MS Excel and ERP systems
• Attention to detail, self-motivation and ability to meet deadlines
• Effective written and verbal communication
