PTP Specialist (Procure-to-Pay)

About the role

The Accounts Payable & Intercompany Reconciliations Assistant is part of the AP team and works closely with the purchasing team and departmental managers. The role covers the procure-to-pay (PTP) end-to-end process, including processing purchase invoices and logging them in the ERP system so suppliers are paid on agreed terms, and agreeing intercompany statements with subsidiaries and resolving variances. It is based in Malaysia and supports a wide range of time zones across Asia Pacific and Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase invoices and log them in JDE (the ERP system) for payment
• Ensure on-time processing and payment of all payment requests, including intercompany and staff claims
• Make sure all intercompany agreements within the Group are signed and returned
• Reconcile and agree monthly supplier statements (third-party and intercompany) and ensure invoices are processed promptly
• Ensure PTP processing complies with SOX, company policies and audit requirements
• Continuously improve PTP processes and systems
• Assist in month-end close activities and handle ad-hoc duties as assigned

Required profile

• Degree in Finance & Accounting / Commerce or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the PTP process, including accounts payable
• Able to self-motivate and work independently, organised and a team player
• Good written and spoken English and interpersonal skills
• Flexible approach to working hours, including UK timezone when required (Malaysia 4pm to 1am)
• Other languages and SSC background are advantageous

Required skills

• JDE (ERP) knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory
• Knowledge of SOX compliance

Salary: RM4,000 - RM5,500 per month.
