Senior FP&A Analyst

About the role

The company is looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst to support its FP&A team in delivering financial control, analysis and reporting to the CFO and the wider Executive team. The role focuses on specific headquarters overhead functions and works Monday to Friday, from 11am to 8pm Malaysia time.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse actual results and prepare month-end journals for accruals, prepayments and corrections for head office cost centres
• Prepare and issue details of actual expenditure versus forecast and budget to central cost centre managers
• Produce month-end analysis and commentary on overheads, including variances to budget and forecast for the International Business, for the Executive Board reporting pack
• Collate inputs and assumptions and act as finance business partner for HQ functions in preparing head office budgets and forecasts
• Prepare function-specific monthly reports and assist in reviewing regional performance against actuals, forecasts and budgets
• Carry out additional analysis and reporting as required

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Part of a newly qualified CIMA/ACCA or other relevant professional accounting qualification
• More than 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis within a multinational finance function
• English speaking, able to communicate professionally with senior operatives
• Team player who is self-motivated, organised, detail-oriented and able to work under pressure
• Ability to proactively suggest improvements to existing processes
• Japanese language skills are advantageous given the role's stakeholders

Required skills

• Good analytical and data presentation skills
• Reasonable understanding of financial management, forecasting, budgeting and reporting
• Strong Excel skills; Power BI is an advantage

Salary: RM10,000 - RM12,000 per month.
