Account Executive - AR/AP

About the role

EPOS, a Point-of-Sale digital solutions provider backed by Ant International, is looking for a detail-oriented Account Executive in Kuala Lumpur to support its finance operations. The role covers Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, including collections, payment processing, reconciliation, credit monitoring and account management, and supports month-end closing, reporting and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day AR activities: invoicing, collections, outstanding balances and ageing.
• Monitor customer/merchant accounts, payment status, credit limits and outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate records of collections, deposits, payments, credits and related transactions.
• Reconcile collections, third-party/platform charges, bank transactions and accounting records regularly.
• Follow up on overdue accounts and resolve payment discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Prepare AR ageing reports, collection status reports and other AR schedules.
• Handle AP activities: verify supplier invoices and documents, obtain approvals, and track payments.
• Perform supplier statement reconciliation and assist with payment runs.
• Perform bank reconciliation and investigate unmatched or unidentified receipts and payments.
• Record AR/AP transactions accurately and on time in the accounting system.
• Assist with month-end closing, including accruals, prepayments and supporting schedules.
• Maintain documentation and audit trails, and liaise with Sales, Operations and other departments on billing, collection and payment matters.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1-2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience encouraged; fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Eligible to work in Malaysia.
• Preferably Mandarin speaking.

Required skills

• Knowledge of AP, AR, General Ledger and bank reconciliations.
• Basic understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; Xero experience is an added advantage.
