Analyst, General Ledger and Reporting

About the role

Brenntag is looking for an Analyst, General Ledger and Reporting in Bandar Sunway. You will deliver record-to-report processes (general ledger accounting, reconciliation and closing, or reporting) on time and resolve operational issues so that activities run smoothly, always following agreed terms and conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Own a designated work area within general ledger accounting, reconciliation and support of monthly and annual closing, or reporting (account preparation, analysis and report creation).
• Prepare regular and ad hoc analytics and reports.
• Follow agreed service levels, company policies and procedures.
• Identify repetitive issues or risks and propose improvements.
• Resolve operational issues and escalate them to the supervisor where necessary.

Required profile

• 0 to 2 years of work experience.
• Degree in a relevant field such as Commerce, Finance or Accounting.
• Experience in industry or shared services is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel, is a must.
• Experience with SAP, especially the Asset and GL modules, is an added advantage.
• Good verbal and written English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese is a plus.
