Travel & Expense Compliance Intern

About the role

Roche is looking for an intern to support its Travel & Expense Compliance function in Petaling Jaya. The intern assesses the compliance of employee reimbursement activities and related healthcare compliance reviews against company policies, procedures and external regulatory requirements, and documents the assessments during claim processing.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the compliance of employee reimbursement activities and associated healthcare compliance reviews in a timely and accurate way, against company policies, procedures and external regulatory requirements.
• Document all compliance assessment results clearly in Concur during claim processing.
• Perform other support activities as needed, such as helping validate or perform data analysis and testing that feeds into reporting to affiliates and compliance projects.
• Escalate issues to the superior or RSS Line Manager when required.
• Network with colleagues from other business functions when needed.
• Support the team in operational activities and help identify and implement improvements in the current process.

Required profile

• Undergraduate student from a reputable university in a relevant field, preferably business, law or finance.
• Available for a minimum of 6 months.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin.
• Proactive, able to manage several tasks at once, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Able to question the status quo and be passionate about process validation and improvement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, good teamwork and a record of extra-curricular activities.
