Technical Services Engineer - Airbus Fleet

About the role

AirAsia X is looking for a Technical Services Engineer to provide engineering support and technical expertise for its Airbus fleet. The role involves monitoring, evaluating and resolving aircraft systems and avionics issues, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting continuous airworthiness. The position is full time and based at RedQ, Kuala Lumpur.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate aircraft systems performance and reliability trends to ensure fleet availability and safety.
• Troubleshoot aircraft system defects and propose corrective actions.
• Review and act on manufacturer service bulletins, airworthiness directives and technical documentation.
• Develop engineering orders, work scopes and technical instructions for modifications and repairs.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams, OEMs and regulatory bodies to resolve technical issues.
• Support scheduled maintenance planning and ensure compliance with AirAsia X Engineering and Maintenance procedures.
• Improve maintenance processes through data analysis, reliability studies and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline from a recognised institution, or at least 3 years of experience in Airbus fleet maintenance or engineering.
• Experience with Airbus A330 systems preferred.
• Familiarity with aviation regulations and standards (EASA/CAAM).
• Ability to manage timelines and work independently under pressure.
• An added advantage for candidates with project management, R&D or community engagement experience.
