Senior Accountant - Controllership Support

About the role

The Controllership team in the AP region is looking for a Senior Accountant to take charge of the Controllership-related support needed for EDB cash grants. The role also supports the RHQ Controllership team with month-end closing, quarterly reporting, rebates and incentives support, and other compliance-related reporting. The ideal candidate is independent, analytical and able to work with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Controllership support for EDB cash grant claims.
• Support RICL, other Controllers and the RHQ Controllership team with month-end closing and collating responses from legal entity Controllers for monthly and quarterly corporate reporting.
• Handle timely and accurate monthly and quarterly indirect tax filings for MAPPL (Malaysia DST, GST), coordinating with KPMG and other service providers.
• Support the RHQ Controller on rebates and incentives.
• Take part in ad hoc projects where support is required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent, with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• CPA/CA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles and accounting practices (US GAAP and IFRS).
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, work independently and under pressure, and communicate across geographies and cultures.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel; MS Access preferred.
• Experience with Oracle financial systems, ADI and Hyperion preferred.
