Finance Executive

About the role

Santan Food Services Sdn. Bhd. is hiring a Finance Executive in Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia. The role covers statutory audit support, tax matters, general ledger and month-end closing, and acts as the main link between the local market and the Shared Service Center for accounts payable, accounts receivable and the general ledger.

Key responsibilities

• Support external auditors during statutory audits by providing documents and calculations, and help the direct report get audited financial statements signed off within the statutory reporting timeline.
• Work with tax agents on annual company income tax, transfer pricing and other tax matters, including analysis, computation and document gathering.
• Communicate with the corporate secretary on company secretarial matters.
• Act as the primary contact between the local market and the Shared Service Center for day-to-day account payable, account receivable and general ledger operations.
• Manage month-end and year-end financial closings and conduct physical stock counts in the warehouse and stores.
• Carry out the full range of general ledger functions to maintain a complete set of accounts.
• Work with external property negotiators on store lease renewals and coordinate with the legal team on contract terms and documentation.
• Assist the direct report with company projects and other assigned duties.

Required profile

• Preferred degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Banking.
• At least two years of professional finance experience in a large corporation or financial institution, preferably in a Corporate Finance department or commercial Treasury.
• Knowledge of large corporate financing structures preferred.
• Strong analytical and negotiation background; team player.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of Excel and other office automation software.
