Senior Quality Analyst

About the role

AirAsia is looking for a Senior Quality Analyst in Sepang, Malaysia, to lead the quality, scalability and functionality of its software products. The role combines advanced testing, automation architecture and deep analysis, with a focus on mentoring peers and driving quality-first engineering in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and execution of complex test plans and test cases, and review and approve plans made by junior team members.
• Estimate, prioritize and coordinate testing activities to meet project timelines, and oversee functional, regression, integration, system and UAT testing, including performance and security.
• Identify and track critical defects, run defect triage, perform root-cause analysis and define the regression testing strategy.
• Build and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and scripts, and act as subject matter expert for automation tools, aiming for 90%+ automation coverage.
• Advocate for quality in sprint planning, daily stand-ups and other Agile ceremonies, and mentor Quality Analysts.
• Drive continuous improvement of testing processes (e.g. shift-left testing) and report quality metrics such as defect escape rate and automation ROI.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4-7 years of QA experience with a proven track record of leading testing initiatives.
• Experience in API and web services testing, mobile testing and device farm integration.
• Agile/Scrum experience and strong analytical, communication and leadership skills.
• Preferred: ISTQB Advanced certification, knowledge of AirAsia's technology stack, and familiarity with aviation, travel tech or e-commerce.

Required skills

• Modern automated testing frameworks such as Playwright and Cypress; Selenium is a plus.
• API testing with Postman and automated API test suites.
• Version control (GitLab) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI-driven testing tools such as Applitools and GitHub Copilot.
