Senior Software Engineer

About the role

AirAsia Aviation Management Services Sdn. Bhd. is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia. The role covers architecting, developing and testing web and backend services, as well as building and maintaining high-performance mobile applications, within a cloud-based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop and test web and backend services using JavaScript, Python and .NET.
• Build and maintain high-performance cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter and React Native.
• Design and optimise data models using SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Work with cross-functional teams using Jira, Git and continuous deployment pipelines in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Diagnose, debug and resolve complex software issues across backend and mobile platforms.
• Maintain technical documentation for system architecture, codebases and deployment processes.
• Deliver features independently while following enterprise security and reliability standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience building scalable, secure and resilient web and mobile applications.
• Exceptional debugging, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Highly autonomous, self-motivated and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Core languages: JavaScript, Python and .NET.
• Mobile development: hands-on experience with Flutter and React Native.
• Databases: SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Firestore).
• Cloud and tools: GCP, Git, Jira and core DevOps practices.
• Nice to have: UiPath and WordPress.
