Senior Pricing Analyst

About the role

The Senior Pricing Analyst will lead analytical and actuarial pricing activities, ensuring high‑quality data and robust models for product development and risk management. You will work closely with senior actuaries and cross‑functional teams to support pricing decisions for protection products.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee data quality, reconciliation and database maintenance while developing advanced statistical analyses to inform pricing.
• Lead the design, implementation and validation of complex pricing models, including GLMs, machine‑learning techniques and exposure curves.
• Produce financial and statistical reports for senior management and analyse portfolio performance trends.
• Mentor junior actuarial staff and foster a collaborative, high‑performing team culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in actuarial pricing or related analytical roles.
• Progress towards a professional actuarial qualification (UK, US or Australia).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills, with fluency in English and Malay.

Required skills

• Proficiency in statistical/programming tools such as VBA, SAS, Python, R, SQL and Power BI.
• Experience with data visualization tools and actuarial pricing concepts.
• Understanding of local BNM regulatory requirements for General Insurance and Takaful.
