Product Analyst

About the role

Manulife is looking for a Product Analyst in Kuala Lumpur to help develop new products and product enhancements that are customer centric and competitive, with a focus on protection, health, digital and other product initiatives. The role sits within product development and covers risk assessment, testing, business cases and stakeholder support.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing new products and enhancements that are customer centric and competitive.
• Prepare product materials and ensure they are accurate and compliant with applicable guidelines.
• Conduct product risk assessments and compliance checklists for new product launches, recording key risks and mitigation actions.
• Prepare product test plans and run user acceptance testing (UAT) according to the approved plan, then obtain sign-off on documents and materials on time.
• Keep internal and external partners informed of timelines and ensure they adhere to them.
• Run regular (monthly or otherwise agreed) competitor product scans and log results in a competitor product library.
• Support distribution and other stakeholders on product matters, and analyse key industry developments.
• Prepare and present new product business cases for the Product Committee's approval, and prepare product training slides.

Required profile

• Degree holder with 2 to 3 years' experience in life insurance / Takaful product development and/or pricing.
• Experience in product launches and product development.
• Knowledge of relevant industry guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication skills and analytical thinking.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in Takaful product development and pricing.
• Knowledge of Power BI.
