Manager/Assistant Manager, Shariah Compliance

About the role

The Manager/Assistant Manager, Shariah Compliance will promote an ethics‑based culture, provide practical guidance and training, and manage complex compliance risks for Zurich in Malaysia.

Key responsibilities

• Align compliance strategy with business goals, legal requirements and emerging trends.
• Develop and deliver ethics‑based training, awareness campaigns and metrics for management.
• Assess new complex laws and ensure their implementation across Zurich’s operations.
• Advise first‑line teams on policy adoption, practical guidance, controls and risk mitigation.
• Support regulatory relationship management and maintain Zurich’s public image.
• Conduct annual compliance risk assessments and report results to governance bodies.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of experience in the insurance or Takaful industry with a focus on Shariah compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional qualification.
