Graduate Assurance Associate – PwC Acceleration Center Kuala Lumpur

About the role

PwC is recruiting UK graduates for its Assurance Associate programme at the PwC Acceleration Center in Kuala Lumpur. Associates work in teams on financial statement audits and audits of internal controls, helping to obtain reasonable assurance that financial statements are free from material misstatement and to issue an auditor's report. The role sits within the PwC Professional framework, which sets common expectations and skills for progression.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in all phases of financial statement audits and audits of internal controls
• Join a wide range of projects, showing creativity, initiative and teamwork
• Identify and address client needs
• Prioritize and complete tasks flexibly while exercising professional skepticism
• Follow risk management and compliance procedures and keep up to date with developments in assurance

Required profile

• Fresh graduate with a minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Preferred qualification: Chartered Accountant or equivalent (e.g. ICAEW, ACCA, MICPA-CAANZ, CPA Australia, US CPA)
• Oral and written English proficiency
• Strong leadership, teamwork and client servicing skills

Required skills

• Knowledge of financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation and financial reporting systems, including GAAP and current accounting policies
• Ability to research and analyze client, industry and technical matters
• Problem-solving, multitasking and written and verbal communication
