Senior Accountant

About the role

Rimini Street, a Nasdaq-listed global provider of enterprise software support, managed services and ERP solutions for Oracle, SAP and VMware, is hiring an experienced Senior Accountant. The office-based position is in Selangor, Malaysia, and reports directly to the Senior Manager of International Accounting. The accountant records daily transactions for multiple legal entities so that the finance department can complete the monthly close and financial reporting on time.

Key responsibilities

• Record and pay vendor invoices, track and record prepaid activity, and record monthly payroll activity and accruals in the general ledger
• Handle fixed asset accounting and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare reporting schedules for quarterly and annual filings of foreign subsidiaries
• Work with Accounts Payable, Payroll, Tax and Treasury teams to ensure entries are recorded correctly
• Work with third-party accounting firms on tax, audit and statutory reporting
• Maintain internal control documentation in line with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
• Streamline accounting processes, implement ERP improvements, and carry out special projects or ad hoc analyses

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or an audit firm
• Experience with foreign subsidiaries and currency translation
• Understanding of debits and credits and how journal entries affect the balance sheet, P&L and cash flow

Required skills

• US GAAP reporting and public company standards (Sarbanes-Oxley, SEC) a plus
• Microsoft Dynamics AX / D365 and/or BlackLine a plus
• Advanced Excel, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented, able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
