Manager - Assurance (PwC Acceleration Center Kuala Lumpur)

About the role

PwC Acceleration Center Kuala Lumpur is looking for a Manager - Assurance to lead teams delivering audit and financial statement services to clients. The role sits within the Assurance practice, where you manage client service accounts and drive engagement workstreams, mentoring junior staff, planning projects and building client relationships. It is part of a wider group of global teams across Advisory, Assurance, Tax and Business Services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead teams in conducting external audits and financial statement analysis
• Manage client relationships and give strategic guidance on financial reporting standards
• Review and verify financial documents for compliance using auditing methodologies
• Oversee data analysis and interpretation to identify financial trends and risks
• Implement internal controls and monitor financial transactions for accuracy
• Develop data visualization solutions to improve financial reporting insights
• Coach team members on auditing practices and professional development
• Facilitate data transformation and modeling to support financial disclosure reports
• Apply GAAP and GAAS in audit processes and confirm data security and quality within audit frameworks

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Chartered Accountant, or equivalent (e.g., ICAEW, ACCA, MICPA-CAANZ, CPA Australia)
• At least 4 years of experience
• At least one of: US Licensed CPA, Malaysian Licensed CPA, or CPA/CA equivalent in another territory
• Oral and written English proficiency
