AI Product Designer (Builder)

About the role

Deriv.com is hiring an individual contributor AI Product Designer (Builder) in Cyberjaya. The role combines human-centred design with building production frontend experiences using AI coding tools and the company's design system. You take product problems from idea to spec, from spec to interface, and from interface to working PR, with no handoff to engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Design polished UI from research to finished screens, paying attention to spacing, motion, hierarchy and accessibility
• Own the UX of AI-era products, including non-deterministic behaviour, loading and failure states, and trust
• Write product specs with AI, then build the frontend with AI coding agents against the design system's NPM packages
• Work in GitHub: branch, commit, open PRs, respond to reviews and ship
• Debug broken builds and know when to ask engineering for input
• Help make the design system AI-native: contribute instruction layers, documentation, examples, agent instructions and MCP-style integrations
• Validate with real users and iterate quickly

Required profile

• 4+ years in product design with deep UX thinking and refined UI execution
• Fluent with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex
• Comfortable with React/TypeScript at component-composition level and at home in GitHub
• Can show proof of building something you designed yourself, ideally with AI tooling
• Uses LLMs to sharpen thinking and turn ambiguity into clear specs
