AI Creative Designer

About the role

Deriv.com is hiring an AI Creative Designer in Cyberjaya, Malaysia, a full-time Individual Contributor role. You will build the tools, scripts and workflows that turn creative production into fast, repeatable output, rather than managing people. The work spans illustration, static design, motion graphics and video, and uses AI coding agents to build the systems that remove bottlenecks.

Key responsibilities

• Build reusable AI workflows for high-volume output: PPC sets, partner kits, social series and localised variants.
• Create prompt libraries and visual recipes that keep AI output on-brand at scale.
• Turn manual production steps into tools other designers can run without you, with clear inputs, variables, QA checks and brand controls.
• Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor to build scripts, small apps and automations, and work in GitHub with branches, commits and PRs.
• Connect AI models to internal pipelines via APIs, including image and video generation, TTS, LLMs and creative QA tools.
• Move across graphic design, illustration, motion graphics and video editing, turning a static concept into a 15-second motion piece with AI video tools.
• Design for marketing outcomes by understanding audience, channel, funnel stage and performance goal, and iterate campaigns faster without lowering quality.

Required profile

• 4-8 years in design, motion, brand, creative production or a similar hands-on creative role.
• A portfolio showing full-stack capability across static design and motion/video.
• Evidence of building or automating at least one real creative workflow with AI (script, repo, internal tool, documented pipeline, template generator, batch production system).
• Hands-on experience with GenAI tools beyond manual prompting, and comfort working in a branch/PR flow on GitHub.
• Strong brand judgment and systems thinking: designing the system that generates many on-brand variants, not just one banner.

Required skills

• GenAI tools: image (Magnific, GPT Image, NanoBanana, Krea, Replicate), video/motion (VEO, Seedance, Kling, Runway, Higgsfield) and LLMs/agents (Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor)
• Design: Figma, design systems, design tokens, component documentation
• Development: React/TypeScript, GitHub, basic scripting in JavaScript, Python or shell, and optionally no-code/low-code automation
• Bonus: API experience, DAMs, template systems, creative operations tooling, and performance marketing creative experience
