Senior Officer, Order to Cash (Japanese Speaker)

About the role

The Senior Officer, Order to Cash will ensure smooth order management and cash flow processes while acting as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams. This role requires strong Japanese and English communication skills to support customers in the chemical industry and drive continuous improvements in the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain master data and oversee end‑to‑end order processing, collaborating with multiple functions.
• Capture market intelligence on supply‑chain topics and share insights with the business.
• Communicate proactively with customers regarding product availability, order status, and delivery tracking.
• Support credit management, billing, and accounts‑receivable follow‑up, including issuing tax invoices.
• Handle customer complaints via BASF’s Non‑Conformance Management system, providing status updates and corrective actions.
• Monitor order placement against sales forecasts and generate order status reports.
• Place replenishment purchase orders, track delivery schedules, and report concerns to the Supply Chain Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in an international company, preferably in the chemical industry.
• Proficient in Japanese and English, with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Proactive, able to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency with SAP ERP systems.
• Experience with data‑analytics or reporting tools such as PowerBI (a plus).
• Understanding of the end‑to‑end Order‑to‑Cash process.
