Production Manager

About the role

The Production Manager will oversee daily production operations at our Kuantan plant, ensuring timely, safe, and high‑quality output while driving continuous improvement and staff development.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations and maintain high safety standards.
• Plan, organize and manage daily production activities to meet schedules and target quantities.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Production Superintendents, Supervisors, Boardmen and technicians, fostering teamwork and accountability.
• Conduct periodic training, performance evaluations and succession planning for senior production roles.
• Facilitate effective communication within the production team and across departments.
• Perform internal audits to support ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO50001 standards.
• Implement and uphold quality control measures to ensure product consistency.
• Coordinate production trials and implement recommendations via the Management of Change (MOC) process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Materials Science or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of production management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with polymerization and distillation processes.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex production operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and drive continuous improvement.
• Proactive, results‑oriented mindset with a commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
