Associate – Building Management

About the role

Alcon is seeking an Associate in Building Management to support the design, planning, construction and maintenance of its facilities and equipment. The role sits within the Engineering function and contributes to delivering high‑quality, compliant environments for global eye‑health operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform clerical and business support tasks related to equipment, machinery, building and facility design, planning and maintenance.
• Assist in budgeting, cost estimating and scheduling of facility modifications, including labour, material and equipment expenses.
• Help coordinate space allocation, layout planning, communication services and facility expansion while ensuring health and safety compliance.
• Support contract and contractor management and work with insurance providers on risk‑reduction projects such as fire prevention.
• Contribute to facility master planning and real‑estate portfolio activities, including lease and transaction management and financial oversight of lease and maintenance costs.
• Follow GxP regulations, SOPs and documentation standards, maintaining quality control and completing required training.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of building/facilities management experience, or a degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of health‑safety standards and GxP compliance.
• Ability to handle paperwork, reporting and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
