Senior Plant Controller – Manufacturing Finance & Costing

About the role

Bosch is seeking a Senior Plant Controller to lead manufacturing finance and product costing activities at its Bayan Lepas plant. You will act as a financial business partner, providing insight and guidance to drive cost efficiency and support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain cost control systems and procedures for all plant operations.
• Monitor actual costs versus budgets and forecasts, investigate variances and prepare detailed cost reports.
• Lead monthly and quarterly cost review meetings with department managers.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Lead the annual plant budgeting process and produce reliable cost forecasts.
• Oversee CAPEX budgets and ensure projects stay within approved limits.
• Analyze product profitability, support pricing decisions and conduct "should‑cost" and value‑engineering studies.
• Collaborate with production and supply‑chain teams to optimise inventory and reduce waste.
• Prepare and present financial reports to plant management and corporate finance.
• Mentor junior cost staff and contribute to system and process enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of progressive experience in cost accounting or financial analysis within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of delivering cost reductions and process improvements.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in SAP (preferably S/4HANA).
