Senior Plant Controller – Manufacturing Finance & Product Costing

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Plant Controller to lead cost controlling, product costing and financial analysis for our manufacturing operations in Bayan Lepas. You will partner with production, engineering and commercial teams to ensure accurate cost data, drive cost‑saving initiatives and support pricing decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse manufacturing and operational costs within the assigned value stream.
• Perform cost analysis, manage overhead allocation and control cost centres.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and develop corrective action plans.
• Track capital expenditure, tooling investments and resource utilisation.
• Coordinate annual business planning, forecasts and budget consolidation across labour, operational, travel and external cost categories.
• Calculate and maintain product costs, analyse cost drivers and support pricing and profitability assessments.
• Conduct make‑or‑buy analyses and business case evaluations.
• Monitor production KPIs such as OEE, FPY, cycle time and throughput, and contribute to value‑stream mapping and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing, prepare management reports, dashboards and ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in plant controlling, product costing, manufacturing finance or cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of product costing, budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to work cross‑functionally.
