Senior HSE Engineer (Staff Level)

About the role

Bosch is looking for a Senior HSE Engineer to lead equipment safety and environmental compliance across its manufacturing site in Bayan Lepas. You will ensure that all machinery and processes meet the highest safety and sustainability standards before they go into production.

Key responsibilities

• Perform equipment safety buy‑off and drive the machinery safety program.
• Verify that all Manufacturing, Assembly, and Test Equipment (MAE) is safe, equipped with hazard and environmental impact assessments before release.
• Participate in machinery design reviews and advise on safe concepts.
• Maintain and improve ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, acting as an auditor.
• Plan and deliver EHS training for employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Conduct EHS inspections, assessments, and provide technical support.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian EHS regulations and manage regulatory reporting.
• Investigate accidents, follow up on corrective actions, and report to DOSH as required.
• Analyze data, perform trend analysis, and recommend continuous improvement actions.
• Manage emergency response preparedness, updating procedures, evacuation maps, signage, and assembly areas.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant EHS experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of machinery safety practices and Malaysian EHS regulations; SHO certification preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
