Mechanical Surveyor – Offshore Rig Inspections (East Coast Malaysia)

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Surveyor to lead independent third‑party inspections of offshore Jack‑Up and Tender Assisted rigs on Malaysia’s East Coast. The role supports our clients by ensuring rig mechanical integrity and contributes to the safety and reliability of offshore operations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed inspections of Jack‑Up and Tender Assisted rigs, identify technical findings and produce comprehensive inspection reports.
• Engage with clients, contractors and project stakeholders to communicate results and recommendations.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of oilfield industry experience within the last 15 years, including at least 5 years of independent third‑party rig inspections.
• Previous senior offshore maintenance role such as Chief Mechanic, Maintenance Supervisor or Rig Engineer, with hands‑on exposure to Jack‑Up rig operations.
• Must be Malaysian and willing to be based on the East Coast of Malaysia.
