Senior Executive, Jira Technical Specialist

About the role

AirAsia Aviation Management Services (AAAMS) is hiring a full-time Senior Executive, Jira Technical Specialist in its ICT department at RedQ, based in Sepang, Selangor. The role is the core custodian of the Atlassian ecosystem, blending hands-on project delivery with day-to-day L2/L3 support, and driving end-to-end Jira implementations and automations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and optimise the Jira Service Management (JSM) Assets / Insight database structure to build a reliable Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
• Automate discovery and import of Configuration Items (CIs) into the CMDB from external sources using REST APIs, discovery tools and integration plugins
• Integrate CMDB CIs with JSM incident, problem, change and request workflows for automated impact analysis, root-cause investigation and change approval
• Lead end-to-end Jira and Confluence implementations, migrations and instance consolidations
• Own daily L2/L3 operations across Jira Software, JSM and Confluence, ensuring SLA compliance and fast ticket resolution
• Build custom Jira spaces, issue types, custom fields, screen and permission schemes, and workflows
• Write and maintain custom scripts with ScriptRunner (Groovy) or Python to automate business logic
• Integrate Jira with third-party tools via REST APIs and Webhooks, and build Jira Automation rules
• Handle system administration: plugin evaluation, version upgrades, security patches, licenses and performance tuning
• Enforce user governance policies, SOPs and best practices, train site administrators and engineering leads, and audit CMDB data

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field
• 4-6 years of hands-on experience in Atlassian administration, project implementation and technical support
• Experience designing JSM Assets schemas, CI relationships and CMDB automations
• Solid understanding of ITIL, especially Configuration and Asset Management, and how CIs link to Incident, Change and Problem Management
• Experience with Atlassian Cloud / Data Center, Jira Service Management, CMDB management and Confluence
• Atlassian Certified Professional or ITIL v4 Foundation certification highly desirable
