Sales Manager, Nutrition

About the role

Brenntag is looking for a Sales Manager, Nutrition in Selangor. The role covers all activities related to selling products and sales administration, including stocks and debtors management, cost control, and the profit and loss of the assigned section and key accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed annual sales budget and margin objectives for the assigned territory or market segments while keeping expenses within budget guidelines.
• Maintain relationships with existing customers and build value-based relationships with potential clients to grow business.
• Keep an existing account base and identify growth opportunities in the savory sector to expand market coverage and penetration.
• Generate plans in cooperation with suppliers and the senior sales manager, implement and monitor the marketing plan, and keep a marketing/sales plan up to date by tracking key customers, products and competitors.
• Recommend objectives and strategies for suppliers and their products.
• Use the Brenntag Sales Process, update the CRM daily with client communications and sales activities, and complete other reporting requirements.
• Stay current through workshops, publications and professional networks, and carry out other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering, Nutrition or Chemistry (desirable).
• 8+ years of chemical or ingredients sales experience in the food industry.
• Fluent English, verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and a proactive, aggressive approach.
• Good commercial acumen, communication and interpersonal skills, and a customer-oriented attitude.
