Purchasing Executive

About the role

Lam Soon is seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage the sourcing of raw and packaging materials as well as miscellaneous items required for its manufacturing operations in Johor. The role is on‑site and involves building supplier relationships, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely delivery to support production schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, packaging components and ancillary items.
• Negotiate prices, contracts and service agreements in line with company policies.
• Process purchase orders and monitor order status to guarantee on‑time receipt.
• Collaborate with production, quality and inventory teams to align procurement with demand forecasts.
• Support procurement activities by preparing documentation and assisting senior staff.
• Maintain accurate records of supplier performance and procurement transactions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain functions, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Good organizational skills and ability to coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Johor.
