About the role
Alcon is seeking a Technician II to support the Repair & Maintenance Engineering function. You will work on complex technical tasks that keep facilities and equipment running efficiently, collaborating closely with production teams.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, design and implement maintenance programs to maximise equipment availability and productivity.
- Coordinate maintenance engineering work, liaising with production staff for repairs, safety inspections and new equipment supply.
- Review mechanical and electrical specifications, assess new equipment designs for reliability and ease of maintenance.
- Participate in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Make minor technical decisions, follow GxP regulations, SOPs and maintain accurate documentation.
Required profile
- Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (fresh graduates accepted).
- Basic knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and machine troubleshooting.
- Experience with PLCs is an advantage.
- Willingness to work 12‑hour rotational shifts.
- Candidates with certification and up to 3 years of experience may also apply.
