Purchase-to-Pay Analyst (Contract) – Mandarin Speaker

About the role

The Purchase-to-Pay Analyst will support the Accounts Payable function for BASF companies across Asia‑Pacific, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing while complying with BASF policies, local regulations and service‑level agreements. The role is contract‑based and requires Mandarin language proficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor P2P risk by performing spot‑check samples and addressing duplicate‑check errors.
• Process domestic payment methods, including bank acceptance drafts, and support forex payment compliance documentation.
• Run payment proposals for third‑party, employee and inter‑company vendors according to country schedules.
• Ensure all payment tasks are completed before bank cut‑off times and manage manual payment instructions (APOB, FFI).
• Track Global Payment System (GPS) status, resolve bank rejections and execute corrective payments.
• Download and archive bank slips, and coordinate approvals with bank authorisers.
• Respond to payment‑related queries via functional mailboxes and support urgent payment requests.
• Liaise with banks on payment failures, support vendor‑management calls and assist with transition or audit projects.

Required profile

• Experience in Accounts Payable or Purchase‑to‑Pay processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet service‑level timelines.
• Mandarin language proficiency.
• Effective communication with internal teams, vendors and banking partners.

Required skills

• Use of Global Payment System (GPS) for payment execution.
• Bank portal navigation and manual payment instruction handling.
