Project Site Translator & Coordinator (Mandarin Speaking)

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Project Site Translator & Coordinator to support a large‑scale engineering and construction project in Malaysia. The role is ideal for candidates fluent in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia who thrive in a fast‑paced site environment and have an interest in infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide interpretation support during site meetings, technical discussions, inspections and other project activities.
• Translate project documents, reports, correspondence, meeting minutes and technical information.
• Facilitate communication between project teams, contractors, consultants, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Assist engineers and project managers in coordinating daily site activities and attend inspections, testing and commissioning events.
• Prepare and maintain bilingual project documentation and record meeting minutes with follow‑up on action items.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Translation, Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Management or a related field.
• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written); proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
• Experience as a Translator, Interpreter, Project Coordinator or Site Coordinator is preferred.
• Familiarity with engineering, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, energy or data‑centre projects is highly regarded.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
