Power Plant Electrical Engineer (Pahang/Johor Based)

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support power plant projects located in Pahang or Johor. The role involves overseeing engineering, construction, commissioning and operational activities for large‑scale energy facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering design, construction, testing and commissioning for CCGT, thermal or renewable power plant projects.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, vendors and regulatory authorities to ensure project delivery on schedule and to quality standards.
• Supervise site activities, manage contractor performance, and monitor HSE compliance and progress reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Power or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in power generation, transmission, EPC, or large‑scale industrial projects.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Experience with CCGT and thermal power plant engineering.
• Knowledge of EPC processes and Owner's Engineer responsibilities.
• Familiarity with engineering codes, standards, quality requirements and project documentation.
• Competence in commissioning, testing, HSE compliance and site supervision.
