Invoice-to-Cash Analyst (Japanese Speaker)

About the role

This position is responsible for managing the end‑to‑end Invoice‑to‑Cash (ITC) process for BASF in the Asia Pacific region. The role requires fluency in Japanese and a solid understanding of finance and accounting principles to ensure compliance with internal policies and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute ITC workflows, including accounts receivable, collections, and treasury back‑office activities.
• Handle unallocated receipts, overdue accounts, and post‑dunning actions, proposing corrective measures as needed.
• Perform month‑end and year‑end closing tasks to guarantee timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Respond to queries within agreed service levels and support audit activities.
• Participate in regional and global process implementation projects, including user acceptance testing.
• Identify and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Prepare training materials and deliver end‑user training sessions.
• Support business continuity planning through resource backup and communication.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.
• Ability to read, write and speak Japanese fluently.
• Chartered or Certified Professional Accountant qualification or equivalent.
• 1‑2 years of relevant experience or a recent graduate with a finance/accounting background.

Required skills

• Familiarity with audit and compliance requirements.
• Experience with process documentation and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
