Intake Clinician

About the role

The Intake Clinician provides high‑quality, solution‑focused counselling and information support to employees of client companies via telephone and live chat in Malaysia. This permanent, full‑time night‑shift role is remote, allowing work from home.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for employees accessing the Lyra EAP service through telephone counselling or live chat.
• Deliver all entitled services in a professional, respectful manner according to Clinical Manager standards.
• Accurately capture all relevant clinical information in the database for case management.
• Follow all clinical protocols and procedures established by Clinical Management.

Required profile

• Minimum Master’s qualification as a Psychologist or Counsellor.
• Registration with the MAHPC (Clinical Psychologist) or Lembaga Kaunsellor Malaysia.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to provide short‑term counselling interventions.
• Preference for candidates with experience in Employee Assistance Programs (EAP).

Required skills

• Computer literacy and fast typing ability.
• Ability to merge clinical focus with Employee Assistance Program objectives.
• Strong client‑service orientation and articulate communication.
• Good telephone manner and capability to deliver telephonic therapy.
• Solid clinical understanding with risk‑management competence.
• Effective time‑management and ability to work under pressure.
• Team collaboration skills and high attention to detail.
• Business and commercial awareness.
