Electrical & Instrumentation Intern

About the role

Join BASF’s Production, Maintenance & Technical Services team as an Electrical & Instrumentation Intern. You will support the E&I department in maintaining documentation and assisting with Lean initiatives, gaining hands‑on experience in a global chemical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in Lean Bootcamp tasks and related documentation.
• Support the development and maintenance of the E&I Know‑How Management SharePoint site.
• Update and maintain Integrated Management System (IMS) documentation for E&I.
• Revise and keep current electrical schematics, single‑line diagrams, and P&ID drawings.
• Prepare risk‑control documentation and task lists.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electrical, Instrumentation or related engineering field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Lean methodology.
• Experience using SharePoint for document management.
• Knowledge of Integrated Management System (IMS) documentation processes.
• Ability to read and update electrical schematics and single‑line diagrams.
• Understanding of Piping & Instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
