Business Reporting Associate Analyst – 1 Year Contract

About the role

This position supports BASF’s internal customers by delivering accurate and timely business reporting services. You will work closely with finance and controlling teams to ensure data integrity across material ledger, inventory valuation, and production planning budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain master data for material ledger, inventory valuation, production planning budget, intra‑company transfer pricing, cost centre accounting, fixed assets and project accounting.
• Calculate monthly standard and actual prices for all materials and ensure correct stock valuation.
• Perform month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including inventory valuation and production planning budget revisions.
• Analyse cost variations, non‑distributed price differences and provide commentary on plan vs. actual manufacturing costs.
• Review fixed‑asset, project accounting and non‑trade business transactions.
• Conduct FICO reconciliation and cost centre cycle allocation analysis.
• Act as a business partner, troubleshoot reporting issues and propose workable solutions.
• Support compliance audits and maintain up‑to‑date documentation.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
• Willingness to act as backup for the manager and handle ad‑hoc tasks.
