Business Development Intern (Gen AI & Cloud), 3 Months

About the role

Tencent Cloud International is looking for undergraduate students to join its Business Development Intern programme in Malaysia, focused on Gen AI and cloud. The internship lasts at least 3 months and starts in November 2026. You will work closely with experienced sales professionals to learn how cloud and Gen AI are sold to real customers, covering prospecting, lead generation, client communication and account development.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research and gather customer insights within targeted industries.
• Identify and approach potential customers through multiple outreach channels.
• Collect information on customers' IT infrastructure, cloud usage and AI needs to support opportunity development.
• Maintain and manage the customer database and sales pipeline accurately.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and support outbound campaigns.
• Craft persuasive sales pitches and help qualify prospects through deep knowledge of Tencent Cloud's cloud and AI offerings.

Required profile

• Undergraduate student graduating in 2026/2027, interested in a sales career in public cloud.
• Able to start in November 2026 and commit to a full-time internship of at least 3 months.
• Bright, adaptable, entrepreneurial and curious about AI and its impact on businesses.
• Strong interest in technology, cloud computing and digital transformation trends in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.

Required skills

• Excellent business-level English and Chinese communication skills.
• For Malaysian candidates, business-level Bahasa Malaysia is also listed as required.
