Test Engineer II, Product Development

About the role

Analog Devices is hiring a Test Engineer for its Product Development team in Penang. You will design, develop and implement cost-effective methods for testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment during product development and manufacturing. You will prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment, and write specifications and procedures for new products, working with moderate guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement test cases and methodologies to ensure product reliability and quality across projects
• Create and run diagnostic programs to identify performance issues
• Develop test fixtures and equipment that measure and validate product specifications
• Define and document test setups and procedures so devices meet industry and company standards
• Plan labor, schedules and equipment allocation for testing
• Troubleshoot technical issues in systems and equipment
• Maintain testing processes that follow quality standards and lead qualification testing for product lines
• Design and oversee the manufacture of PCBs for test setups and evaluation boards

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related technical field
• Typically 2+ years of relevant experience in test engineering or a related discipline
• Experience designing moderate-complexity test fixtures and equipment
• Ability to estimate and coordinate testing resources, including scheduling and equipment allocation

Required skills

• Structured test methodology design and execution of diagnostic programs
• Test fixture design and PCB design for test setups and evaluation boards
• Writing detailed test procedures and troubleshooting moderately complex technical problems
• Working knowledge of quality standards and qualification testing methodologies
