Technician II – Molding Production

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Technician II to support molding production at its Johor facility. The role involves operating molding tools and equipment, conducting quality inspections, and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate molding tools and automated equipment with minimal supervision.
• Perform quality inspections using gauges, fixtures, and statistical monitoring.
• Handle materials, conduct mold changes, and troubleshoot medical‑device molds.
• Carry out optical tool inspection, assembly, set‑up, line clearance, and mechanical checks.
• Operate the solvent supply and disposal system for production and research.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow SOPs, GMP/GDP, and GxP regulations.

Required profile

• General Certificate in a related technical field.
• No prior experience required; relevant work experience is an advantage.
• Willingness to work a rotating 12‑hour weekly shift.
