Senior Payroll Associate – Sr. Associate I

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Sr. Associate I, Payroll to deliver accurate and compliant payroll services across assigned countries. The role partners with Payroll, Finance, HR, Treasury and external vendors to ensure timely, statutory‑compliant payroll processing.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, validate and consolidate payroll inputs from multiple sources and support end‑to‑end payroll processing.
• Monitor payroll vendor performance, review outputs, reports and reconciliations for accuracy and compliance.
• Troubleshoot payroll issues, investigate discrepancies and respond to employee and stakeholder inquiries.
• Coordinate payroll funding requests, tax payments and statutory remittances with Treasury and third‑party providers.
• Support payroll accounting, financial reporting, accruals, month‑end reconciliations and statistical reporting.
• Maintain payroll controls, audit evidence and respond to internal/external audit requests.
• Handle tax‑related payroll activities, statutory filings and equity transactions such as RSU payments.
• Monitor payroll calendars, cut‑offs and critical timelines while ensuring documentation remains current.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in payroll operations, shared services or related finance/HR functions.
• Experience managing payroll in a multinational environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with payroll systems and processes.
• Strong knowledge of payroll accounting, tax compliance and equity administration.
• Ability to perform payroll reconciliations and control reviews.
• Experience with audit documentation and regulatory reporting.
