Senior Manager - Tax (Financial Services)

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Manager to lead tax services for its Financial Services clients in Kuala Lumpur. You will act as a strategic advisor, guiding businesses through complex tax compliance, planning and advisory matters while ensuring high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accurate and timely filing of corporate income tax and other statutory returns.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimise clients’ tax positions and minimise liabilities.
• Provide advisory support on mergers, acquisitions, investment structures, incentives and new business ventures.
• Prepare and review tax provision calculations for financial statements.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on client tax positions.
• Collaborate with finance, legal and business units to align tax matters across the organisation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in tax compliance, planning and advisory within the financial services sector.
• Proven ability to lead and coach diverse teams, delivering results in ambiguous environments.
• Strong analytical and judgment skills, with a focus on risk management.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex tax concepts to stakeholders.
