Senior Executive, Enterprise Application Platforms & Automation

About the role

AirAsia is looking for a Senior Executive for Enterprise Application Platforms and Automation in Sepang, Selangor. The role provides technical leadership and ownership of enterprise platforms covering ITSM, asset management, monitoring, observability and automation, leads a team of application specialists and works across technology and business teams to design scalable solutions and drive continuous improvement. Platform experience in Jira, ManageEngine, Grafana, Checkmk or equivalent is advantageous.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical direction of enterprise platforms covering ITSM, workflow, asset management/CMDB, monitoring, observability and automation.
• Lead and coach a team of application/platform specialists, reviewing solutions and supporting escalations.
• Drive end-to-end platform implementation and transformation, from requirements and design through configuration, integration, testing, deployment and handover.
• Build integrations between applications using APIs, webhooks and middleware.
• Identify manual processes and build automation solutions using scripting and automation tools.
• Troubleshoot complex issues with root-cause analysis across applications, integrations, APIs, databases and infrastructure.
• Translate business needs into secure, scalable solutions aligned with enterprise architecture.
• Drive continuous improvement and set platform governance, standards, documentation, change management, security controls and knowledge sharing.
• Partner with technology and business stakeholders to evaluate new technologies and improve service quality and resilience.

Required profile

• 5 years of experience in enterprise applications, IT operations, ITSM, application support or a related environment, owning business-critical platforms.
• 3+ years of technical leadership, mentoring or managing application/platform engineers or administrators.
• Proven experience implementing and managing enterprise platforms, including testing, deployment and integration.
• Strong experience in ITSM, workflow, asset management/CMDB, monitoring, observability, application management or enterprise automation.
• Strong troubleshooting, incident and problem management, and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• System integration and API technologies (REST APIs, webhooks, authentication, JSON).
• Automation and scripting, with at least one language such as Python, PowerShell, Bash or Google Apps Script.
• Linux/Red Hat or equivalent environments.
• Preferred: Jira/Jira Service Management, ManageEngine, Grafana, Checkmk, cloud platforms, databases, DevOps/CI-CD, Ansible, ITIL.
