Quality Assurance Inspector

About the role

AirAsia X is hiring a Quality Assurance Inspector for its Aircraft Quality Assurance team at RedQ Sepang. The inspector ensures that airworthiness requirements and safety are met by the Continuing Airworthiness Division, and supports the Quality Assurance Manager in setting up, implementing and maintaining quality assurance programmes required by ICAO, CAAM, company policy and IOSA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement a quality assurance system that enforces compliance with airworthiness requirements and safety
• Carry out audits according to the approved audit plan and tasks assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager
• Perform internal and external audits to check compliance with CAAM Civil Aviation Directives and other applicable standards
• Identify, record and report any non-compliance or deficiencies found during audits
• Help develop corrective actions and follow up with responsible parties to ensure timely implementation

Required profile

• Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's licence (B1/B2) with at least one type rating
• At least five years of experience in aircraft maintenance certification
• Knowledge of aircraft, engines and their systems, and of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices
• Knowledge of CAA of Malaysia requirements and regulations
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; auditing experience is an advantage

Required skills

• CAAM AML licence with at least one type rating
• Auditor training certification
• Train the Trainer certification
• On-the-job training with a qualified auditor as required
