Murex Collateral Business Analyst/ Consultant

About the role

The Murex Collateral Business Analyst/Consultant will gather business requirements, design and configure collateral management processes on the Murex MX.3 platform, and ensure efficient end‑to‑end collateral operations for OTC derivatives, securities financing, repos and other capital‑market products.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements, conduct workshops and produce BRD, FRD, functional specifications and use cases.
• Configure Murex collateral modules such as margin call processing, initial/variation margin, CSA agreements, thresholds, MTA, haircuts, eligibility rules and settlement instructions.
• Support the full collateral lifecycle including exposure calculation, margin generation, reconciliation, substitution, settlement, optimization and interest calculation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (UMR, BCBS‑IOSCO, Basel III, SIMM, ISDA CSA, initial margin rules).
• Integrate Murex with external systems (SWIFT, AcadiaSoft, Bloomberg, Reuters, custodian banks, settlement and payment systems, market data feeds, ERP, data warehouse).
• Prepare and execute system, integration and user acceptance testing, manage defects and support production releases.
• Collaborate with front‑, middle‑ and back‑office teams, risk, treasury, operations, technology, PMO, vendors and external counterparties.

Required skills

• Murex MX.3 – Collateral Management Module, workflow configuration, static data, MxML, trade lifecycle and batch processing.
• Capital‑markets knowledge – OTC derivatives, FX, interest‑rate swaps, repos, securities lending, bonds.
• Technical expertise – SQL, Unix/Linux, XML, advanced Excel, API integration, batch monitoring.
• Nice‑to‑have – AcadiaSoft, TriResolve, Bloomberg MARS, Calypso, SIMM calculations, Python, Java, Agile/Scrum, DevOps, cloud platforms.
